As entrepreneurs, we use a variety of tools to make our businesses run smoothly each and every day. Flodesk is one of the newest tools I’ve started using to email subscribers from my events as well as Live Camp Work, without all the extra stuff.

I recently switched from ConvertKit to Flodesk because I was paying over $100 for my list of subscribers which continues to grow. It seemed ridiculous to invest so much money each month just to send a few freebies and a weekly email.

So I researched a few options and one, in particular, stood out. It was a recommendation from a fellow entrepreneur and I think it was a great suggestion that’s paid off immensely.

What Is Flodesk?

Flodesk is an email marketing platform for staying connected to your subscribers. It’s one of the newest tools to hit the world of email marketing and it’s done a really great job of convincing entrepreneurs and small business owners to make the switch from more well-known tools like ConvertKit, Mail Chimp, and Active Campaign.

The big promise is simple…

Flodesk Offers Unlimited Subscribers For One Super Low Price.

For less than $38 (or $19 with my affiliate link) a month you can stay in touch with all your subscribers by creating email broadcasts, creating funnels and workflows to onboard new members, the ability to separate your list into different segments, create automations, and even pop-up forms for your website.

If you’ve used email marketing services before then you’re well aware of how different this is.

Most email marketing services provide you with a certain number of subscribers you can have on your list for a certain price tag. When you’re just starting out and just have a few hundred subscribers, this is a great solution and many platforms can offer a full-scale experience with tagging, automation, landing pages, and much more.

But as you become more comfortable with the platform and its features, your list is slowly (or sometimes more quickly) growing. Meaning eventually you’ll have to start paying more for the same services you’ve become accustomed to using.

In the beginning, it’s not that much. We’re talking $19.99 – $29.99 dollars a month. Then $59.99 – $79.99 a month. Then $119.99 + and that’s when you start to see the problem.

Flodesk has you covered and I should start using this feature more because it’s awesome. You can easily integrate your Instagram account into outgoing emails to showcase your most recent posts. Choose to either create a horizontal gallery or a pin-board style collage and send that baby out.

Avoid Tag Confusion: You can forget about all the stress that comes from tagging. No more duplicate tags or thinking about it too late—Flodesk does all of the tagging for you!

You can see which of your subscribers are most engaged, what they signed up for, what they clicked on, and there’s tons of data automatically captured for you. And you have full segmentation capabilities!

Easy Workflows: Don’t sweat the small stuff! Create easy workflow with Flodesk and deliver your amazing freebie and content to the world with ease.

Flodesk makes it simple to choose a template or design one of your own, then just edit, add in your text and images, change the subject line, and preview how it will look for your subscribers.

Choose one simple email or a sequence of many. It’s easy to create journeys for your subscribers with Flodesk.

How I Use Flodesk?

For me, Flodesk came at a time when I was trying to decrease spending. I couldn’t justify spending a ton of money for features I just was not going to be using.

It no longer made sense to use Convertkit and I made the bid description to change to Flodesk instead.

Moving to Flodesk was pretty easy.

I downloaded a CSV file of my subscribers from Convertkit list and uploaded it into Flodesk. I also downloaded large segments I had already set up in Convertkit of things like my book launch team, my free course, and a few others.

I imported those lists separately so I could stay connected with those groups without having any issues with retagging in the transition.

So far so good.

I haven’t had any issues using Flodesk to date, and I have no plans to stop. The platform is easy to use for both me and my team. Deliverability is great as long as I ease up on the exclamation points, and the features that are available serve my needs at this time.

It’s also incredibly helpful if you’re planning to publish digital courses and keep up with your students! If that sounds like you, check out my Ultimate Guide To Flowdesk For Digital Course Creators where I walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to setup a welcome sequence!

If you’re in the market for an easy-to-use solution to emailing your subscribers, I suggest you give Flowdesk a try for just $38 a month (or just $19 using my affiliate link!)
