Bucket List: Atlanta, Georgia with Kids

Georgia Aquarium: A trip to Atlanta would not be complete without stopping by the Georgia Aquarium. Being the world’s largest aquarium, there is more than enough to keep adults and children entertained for a few hours during your stay.

Zoo Atlanta: Two record-breaking reasons to visit this amazing Atlanta Attraction are the world’s only pair of twin giant pandas and this country’s biggest collection of gorillas and orangutans. Add the sleepovers and behind the scene tours and it’s hard to find a reason not to go.

Underground Atlanta: Known as the “city beneath the street”, Underground Atlanta has restaurants, and shopping and also hosts the largest New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Southeast. Take a guided walking tour for $10, sample the local cuisine on Food Truck Wednesday, or do the Historic Scavenger hunt for just $4.

The Varsity: Visit the world’s largest Drive-in restaurant. Open since 1928- this is a must for any traveler touring the Atlanta area. Classic American fare including chili, burgers, fries, and Varsity Orange Drinks. And yes! You have to wear the iconic hat!

The World of Coca-Cola: Who could turn down the opportunity to sample over 100 different flavors, from all over the world? A casual stroll down memory lane, into the secret vault, through the bottle works and maybe two trips to the tasting room will complete your trip to this Atlanta Classic.

Sky View Ferris Wheel: A new addition to the fun and excitement in the city, the Sky View Ferris Wheel boasts 20 stories and panoramic views. At just $8.50 for kids and $13.50 for adults, it’s well worth waiting in line!

The CNN Center: Go into the Global Headquarters of CNN News, for a guided 50-minute tour with your family. See the behind-the-scenes, that we’re all so curious about, grab a souvenir photo, and maybe even something to eat in the food court!

Centennial Olympic Park: Plan a picnic for your family and enjoy watching or dancing in the world’s largest interactive fountain. Check the event calendar online for special events, like concerts, ice skating, and festivals during your trip!

The Sun Dial: Sitting on top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza, at 723ft. above the city, the view is absolutely amazing. Dine in the revolving restaurant or just come for the 85-second ride in one of two glass elevators up to the 72nd floor for a bird’s eye view of the city.
